Winter Greetings NST!

It’s a NEW YEAR and we have a lot going on here at the team!! Please allow us to bring you up to date on all the exciting happenings.

Our first bit of good news to bring you is the first NST NEWSLETTER is near completion and will be e-mailed to each member on January 15th!!. We are very excited about the newsletter and hope that you will enjoy reading it. Thanks to all the members who contributed to it!!

We have a NEW contest!! You will have a chance to add your own caption to a fun photograph of Matthew & Gunnar!! Check out the NST website for details on the “Nelson Photo Caption” contest beginning soon! We will be e-mailing everyone when the contest starts!

NST chats will begin again on Monday, January 5th, 2009 at 9:00 p.m. EST. if you are not signed up for chat drop us a line with your AIM screen name to join!

Congratulations to Ava Vaughn, our member of the month for January!! Read about Ava on our special member of the month page: http://www.thenelsonbrothers.com/team/monthmember.html. Ava will also be receiving a prize in the mail for receiving this distinction!!

Our project for the troops was a SUCCESS!! Thank you again to everyone who participated. We recently added photos of some of the Marines enjoying their care packages, so make sure and check them out at: http://thenelsonbrothers.com/team/projectsnov2008.html

Another HUGE thanks goes out to everyone for their participation in the Toys for Tots project!! Thanks to you it was a GREAT success!!! Many thanks also to Sue Therrien for coordinating both of these projects.

Being that it is a NEW YEAR its time to set out and do what the team is all about!! Promoting Matthew & Gunnar in our towns and states!!! Help us bring NELSON to your town this year!! There are several ways to do this.
1.)    Flyer around your town.
2.)    E-mail venues in your entire state.
3.)    Send us venue lists so other members can write too.

There are venue lists organized by state located on the NST yahoo! Group “files” section. We ask that you please take a moment to look over these lists and send out a few e-mails. It takes only a few minutes AND it’s super easy, there are sample e-mails posted for your use in the “files” section and you earn points towards awesome reward prizes!!

You can also help promote by e-mailing the upcoming show media lists that other members kindly put together for all of our use. OR you can create one of these lists for an upcoming show and send to us for posting. Please send all lists to: nstquestions@yahoo.com and be sure to BCC: each promotional e-mail to: nstpoints@yahoo.com

As a team let’s make it a goal to e-mail at the minimum two venues or media contacts during chat each week. Beginning on Monday we will be setting aside several minutes during chat for you to e-mail venues or media contacts. This will give everyone a chance to participate and ask any questions.

Another area of promotion that is very important this year is to help make the team GROW!!! If you haven’t already please paste the code below to your myspace page or personal website to add this COOL banner promoting the NST.
